Our History

CONSER & Partners Engineering Services (CONSER OMAN ) is an engineering consultancy specialized in Roads, Transportation, Water Resource Management & Master-planning including design & supervision with a dense portfolio of projects extending over 50 years of experience.

CONSER OMAN was established in 1979 as a branch of the reputed CONSER INTERNATIONAL, founded by Esteemed late Mr. Azmi Haroun, and which is known for its extensive expertise in Infrastructure projects in the GCC, levant, UK and Africa

Under the directorship of Mr. Tarek Sarakbi for the last 20 years, and who has been a classified expert civil engineer in Oman.

Since its establishment CONSER OMAN has participated fundamentally in creating major infrastructure landmarks that have become cornerstones in forming the landscape of the Sultanate of Oman throughout the years.

Al Khuwair Interchange

CONSER OMAN designed and supervised all elements of Al Khuwair interchange including the bridges, culverts, underpasses & flyovers. Al Khuwair Interchange still stands today as one of the landmarks of Muscat and the most traversed intersection on the Sultan Qaboos Road.

CONSER OMAN designed and supervised the construction of Fanja Bridge, a prominent infrastructure crossing over Wadi Fanja in the historic town of Fanja, located within the Al Dakhiliya Governorate of Oman.

The bridge design aimed at ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow during the heavy seasonal rains when the lower valley floods. The bridge serves as a scenic gateway connecting travelers heading from the capital city of Muscat deeper into the interior regions of the country.

Al Fanjah Bridge

CONSER OMAN is the Designer & Construction Supervision Consultant of the Duqum Road both phases 1 & 2 in the Special Economin Zone At Duqum SEZAD.

SEZAD reappointed CONSER for the design and Supervision Services to the extension of Road R32 from where it previously ended to the Northern boundary limit of DUQM at NAFUN. The length of this Extension Link (EL) is approximately 12 km and it traverses the Northern Industrial Zones of Duqum.

The phase 2 road starts from End point of NR32 Phase 1 to Northern boundary limit in Nafun with approximate length of 12km to serve future industrial, commercial and residential developments in the area serving newindustrial, commercial and residential developments.

Storm water drainage system was designed to ensure that the road can operate in any weather to prevent flooding.

Oman terrain is one of the most diverse in the Middle East, encompassing multiple ecosystems, ranging from mountain ranges and vast deserts to lush green regions and long coastlines. CONSER OMAN since its establishment has been involved in designs of roads across the different topographic patterns passing hilly lands and challenging landscapes.

Vital Mega Projects
in Oman

CONSER collaborated with Garsdale Design Limited for development of the Duqum City Masterplan, designs including infrastructure & road networks.
Duqum City is an industrial city and strategic port in Oman's Al Wusta Governorate. Spanning a massive 2,000 square kilometers (including a 90 km coastline), it is one of the largest Special Economic Zones in the Middle East. It transforms a former fishing village into a global logistics and energy hub.

WADI HEIBI BRIDGE is one of the structures as part of the Wadi Heibi Road Rehabilitation & capacity improvement commissioned by the Municipality of Muscat & Ministry of Transportation & Communication. CONSER OMAN was contracted to review the hydrology and bridge designs and then supervised the construction works carried out by Surooj. The Bridge spans over 90 meters comprising of three spans, two piers of three columns each, with the height of over 17 meters above the wadi bed connecting the sides of wadi Heibi and offering two vast lanes for vehicles crossing the Heibi Road.

Water Resource
Management

CONSER OMAN resourced the required expertise to cater for the engineering needs in the Sultanate of Oman, water resource management, attenuation & maneuvering solutions were prominent engineering services provided by the company, including design & supervision of dams, bridges, culverts, channels and different earth stabilization structures. The aim is for water management solutions to blend with nature of the country of Oman while still serving the goal of maneuvering the obstacles of floods, stormwater, wadis and different water resources.
